Fun in the sun!

We headed over to Otter Beach again yesterday.  This time with was with a bunch of teachers from school and their kiddos!  It was HOT reaching 101!  The sun wore the kids out and it was packed but we had a great time!

Callie Beth, Ben and Max.   Mr. Independent (a.k.a. Ben) demands to go down the slide all by himself now.  Hunter wasn’t stopping for a picture, he was having too much fun :) I guess it is more fun to go down with your eyes closed! Lunch time :)    Lakai decided to spit his lunch all over his daddy :)

I didn’t get many pictures.  I stayed pretty busy chasing those two kiddos around!  CB and Ben love that place :)

Kurt & Katie’s Wedding

We headed to Canby this weekend to celebrate Katie and Kurt’s wedding.  Kurt is Jake’s cousin.  Ann and Rudy did an amazing job getting their place ready for the big event.  Everything was beautiful and we are so happy for the  newly married couple.  Callie Beth and Ben were quite the troopers dancing the night away. 

I tried to get cute pictures of Callie Beth and Ben.  CB was the only one cooperating at the moment. And then she was done…as she was running away, I snapped this picture.  Love her! Strapped in the stroller for dinner! Snuggling with Daddy during the toasts… CB and Cousin Gywnn.  These two had a great time together.  They get along really well and it will be so fun watching them grow up together. Aunt Ann set up this teepee  on the back of the property for Kurt and Katie to stay in that night!  Notice Uncle Rudy’s hear rug that Jake mounted on the ground!  Will sneaking blackberries Yes, they requested Luke’s elk that Jake mounted up in the tree. CB dancing with the bride :) And more dancing… Ben really didn’t want people to grab his hands or pick him up, he just wanted to dance. Nice smile CB :)Thank you Ben! CB and Aunt JillWish we would have taken a picture earlier in the night where we aren’t all sweaty :) This girls had some moves.  The kids were really adorable dancing all night.  This little one must have had his eye on Callie Beth and liked her dance moves because all of a sudden, he came up out of no where and hugged her.  Then grabbed her hands to dance.  She then took the lead.  So cute!

Jake’s Antelope 2012

Jake drew his pronghorn antelope tag this year.  He had been saving points for 10 years.  He and his friend both filled their tags. Jake sat in a pop up blind on the edge of a watering hole from 5AM to 8PM all by himself.  He had some prong horns come in but had 79 bighorn sheep come in and 77 to water.  The second day just before 5PM he got an opportunity at a nice buck at 47 yards and connected.  Fresh meat for the smoker.

His friend has over 120 sheep come in to his blind at the same water hole the day after Jake shot his buck.
