Spring? Or Not?

We have had some CRAZY weather!!!!  Way too much snow this month and MORE rain.  The average rainfall for March is 7.74 inches.  As of now, we are at 15.17 (and the night isn’t over).  THIS IS CRAZY!  The sun did peak out today for about 30 minutes just enough to tease us. 

We had Spring Break this past week.  It was so nice being home with the kiddos.  I was able to do LOTS of cooking (thanks to Pinterest recipes).  I got a great start on Ben’s birthday goodies.  I did some sewing.  Got a haircut.  CB got a haircut.  Finally got my contacts back.  BUT I was so jealous seeing pictures or posts on Facebook about people going to places that were warm and sunny!  Soon enough is what I keep telling myself.

I am glad to see March go and hope April brings up nicer weather.  This month is super busy for us so I am sure you will be seeing lots of posts (if I can keep up).  

Jake snuck out to get the front yard mowed and it started hailing…hard.  That’s Oregon for ya..

Lately, Ben is obsessed with being outside.  Thankfully, it was somewhat decent this day.  Loves spaghetti So this is what happens now when Ben sees the camera.  You don’t even have to say a word!  I wonder if he can even see… Ben is doing lots of walking but likes to hold on to Callie Beth and walk with her.  Helping her with the VReader (so he thinks)Drawing on the easel…

To make her day the best I could, I sent cupcakes to school on Callie Beth’s birthday…and they had a party for her and gifts.  Makes my heart warm knowing she had a great day and that they love her and made her day super special.

Callie Beth is Three :)

I'm still not quite sure how you have become three but it’s true…

You were so excited about today. You’ve been talking about your birthday since January.  You told everyone you saw (and everyone who called to wish you a happy day) "Today is my birthday." You wore a smile the entire day. You were in the best mood at daycare. You picked out pizza for dinner. Your cheeks were extra kissable today.

Your expressions while opening your gifts were priceless. And when bedtime came, you were ready to sleep. But glad it was "still your birthday".

I am so excited to see what this next year holds for you, sweet little girl. You are so excited about friends. 

You still love purple and pink. You love being outside and playing in your truck. Princesses and dress up. Getting dirty and playing ball.  Coloring with markers. You love to tell me you're a big girl. You still take a nap each afternoon at home but skip naps at daycare sometimes. You have a thankful heart. You love to sing and dance. You are strong willed and when your mind is made up, it’s hard to change it. Compassionate. You are so very conversational. You are a snuggler with your Daddy when you are tired. You take a few minutes to warm up to new people but then it’s like you’ve known them forever.  You have a precious giggle and an infectious smile.

We love you, little one.

Callie Beth’s 3rd Birthday Party

We had Callie Beth’s 3rd Birthday Party on Sunday.  The weather ended up being sunny but cold after waking up to snow again!  Callie Beth had a blast.  We had some yummy food, jumped in the bounce house and trampoline, played with beach balls, bubbles, and chalk.  Callie Beth then opened her gifts and everyone enjoyed cupcakes.

Jake going to put balloons on our Postlewait sign So excited for her party!!!!    I love this picture… Friends chatting before the party starts…  Time to eat…Funny story…sorta…I ordered these adorable little beach bucket sets as the party favor.  It didn’t say anything about size.  I thought they were adorable and then the box came.  I was shocked how small the box was because I was thinking they were full size.  NOPE!  They looked a lot bigger in the picture.  Still cute though… Ben had a great time hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa. Time to enjoy the bounce house Love Harper’s Hair… Time for presents and cupcakes
