Merry Christmas

From our family to yours…Merry Christmas!

We had such a wonderful day!  I can only see Christmas getting more fun and exciting each year….it’s amazing what children do! 

We had a perfect morning at home with our little family of 3.  (I can’t believe next year there will be 4 of us!)  We took our time opening gifts and relaxing.  We then headed to Jake’s parents for a wonderful afternoon and evening.

21 Months

A couple days ago, Callie Beth was 21 months old.  I can’t believe that in less than 3 months, she will be 2 and in less than 4 months, we will have our baby boy!  Where does the time go?

Here are just a few things on what is going on with her these days…

• Her personality is getting stronger each day! :) 
• It also amazes me the words she learns each day. 
• She loves to help clean (sweep the floors, dust, etc.) 
• She loves her Daddy (which just melts my heart).   
• I really think her favorite thing to do is dance
• She does not care for TV or cartoons much but this girl will sit still and watch hunting shows with her Dad.  She knows the sound when the gun goes off or the bow is released.  She gets so excited and screams (video to come soon).
• Keeping socks on her feet is a challenge. 
• She is obsessed with brushing her teeth.  She has a tooth brush in each bathroom.  Tia informed me she has one there also!
• She has taken a big interest in her baby dolls.  Most of the time takes good care of them.  She rocks them, feeds them, tell them to go “night night”.  She covers them up, totes them around.  And every once in awhile throws them against the wall. :)  Good reminder to keep a close eye on her with her little brother!
• She knows there is a baby in my belly.  She gives him kisses and loves to see it.  But I really don’t think she has any idea what is going to happen in April!!

I can’t believe how this little girl knows how to navigate through cell phones.  Here she is hiding in the elliptical, playing with Jake’s phone. Her bangs are down to her mouth….can’t wait till they get longer and her hair will be even all around!She found some silly putty that we got at a birthday party.  She really enjoys it!  Yes, Jake taught her how to pull it apart and make big messes!!  Oops…this is what happens when Daddy lets her walk around with an entire bag of Cheerio mix… Must clean up messes… Putting together a step stool…helping her Daddy I think she loves baths just as much as I do!

Christmas Tree

Jake and I put up our Christmas tree last weekend.  We decided to do it while Callie Beth was in bed so the process would go much faster :)  Here are her first looks at the tree the next morning.

Thanks Nanny for the new PJs :) “Hmmm…let me check this out…” Notice the HUGE smile on her face! She loves it :) Our tree…little shorter and fatter this year.  She has been WONDERFUL with the tree so far.  So will touch the ornaments and smell the tree but hasn’t taken any off.  Now, she WILL try and take candy canes off (but wouldn’t you?)  :)

Christmas Outfits

I had so much fun making Christmas/Winter outfits for Callie Beth this year!  I know next year, I won’t have that much time on my hands so I took full advantage of it this year.

I didn’t make this one…my Mom got it for her last year.  But isn’t it cute?
