More apples

Ben is obsessed with our apple tree as you have probably noticed with the previous posts.  Ben and Jake have a routine they do every day when Jake gets home from work.  I finally caught it all on camera.

First, they walk down to the tree. Then, Jake picks an apple for them.Ben sits and wait for his apple. Then, they enjoy their apples This was another day: Love how this boy sits with his feet crossed!

Summer still in October?

The weather has been amazing!  Yes, we were in shorts still in October…PERFECT!  Here, the kids are enjoying just playing outside in the dirt and the playground.

New Camera

I got a new camera for our anniversary!  I am so excited as we really needed one!  These are the first pictures I took.  I have so much to learn about it.

Jellyfish Jubilee

Jake and I went to a dinner on Saturday night called the Jellyfish Jubilee to help raise money for the aquarium.  We had a wonderful night.  They took pictures as we were walking in.

They are cute and they help out!

Callie Beth is such a little mommy…she is always looking out for others and making sure they are taken care of.  Ben is starting to help out around the house too!

Helping unload the dishwasher… CB cleaning Ben up after dinner.  I promise we don’t ask her to do this. Sleeping BeautyBen was VERY quite while I was making dinner, when I peeked in, I saw him just playing with a car.  Busted…

Apples!

We have a tree that produces delicious apples….the kids and the deer LOVE them.  Ben usually comes up to us and says “apple” and then marches down in the yard and has a seat by the tree.  This means, please pick and apple and give it to me.  He will sit there and much on his apple for quite awhile.

First Day of School 2012

We survived another back to school season.  I spent a lot more time in my classroom this year as I had to move to a new classroom.  The classroom wasn’t quite complete so it was a mess moving in.  A BIG thanks to my mother-in-law, Merrie and Jake for helping me.  I will post pictures of my new room soon!

  They LOVE to make each other laugh!  Oh how I miss these two when I am at work but before I know it, they will be at the same school!

Blackberry Picking

We picked some blackberries from the yard last night.  The kids enjoyed it.  Ben is a berry boy just like his Daddy.  We have a lot more that are just about ready to be picked!  Time to make jam! Daddy doing most of the work in the hard-to-get-to areas   These two love each other so much!So stinkin happy!  CB actually took this picture!  Most people say Ben looks like Jake…but what about me?

Surfing

This is the 2nd year our school district has offered an Ocean Literary Symposium.  There are MANY different classes, activities, and presentations to choose from all dealing with Ocean Literacy since we live in such a beautiful place.  This year, we chose surfing in the afternoon!  We were so lucky to actually get paid while learning to surf!  The weather could not have been more perfect.  I loved it!  I was able to get to my feet quite a bit.  It is something I definitely would like to do more!  We couldn’t bring our cameras down so Malena’s husband took some of the action…can’t wait to see those!

Chilly Mornings

Fall is upon us as these chilly mornings begin.  Ben wasn’t feeling great this day but had to be outside with Daddy!
