Kasey’s Baby Shower

Sunday, we went to a baby shower for my sister-in-law, Kasey. She is having a little girl in August. We are really excited that Callie Beth is going to have a cousin so close to her in age. I'm sure they are going to be good friends :) Here is Callie Beth after the shower. She was worn out from being passed around. She did great :)

Aunt Mandy's visit to Oregon

My sister came out to visit us for a week. We had a blast. She really enjoyed the Oregon coast and most importantly, Callie Beth. She just couldn't get enough of her. We went shopping at the outlets. We went out to the Gun Club and Jake taught her how to shoot. Jake and Mandy went out hunting one morning and went scouting a few nights. We took a drive down the coast. Mandy got to see many deer and elk. Here are some pics from her visit:

3 months old!

Callie Beth is 3 months old today! We are so lucky...she is a great baby! I can't believe it has been 3 months already. Here are a few things on what is going on with CB:

*She smiles all the time at people. She is starting to smile at her toys.
*She squeals and is now belly laughing.
*She talks all day!
*She LOVES to stand up and bounce. When sitting, she can actually push herself up.
*She loves the car and her car seat...always puts her to sleep.
*We are still nursing :)
*She reached for my face today...it was so precious (Jake was there to see it too).
*She is sleeping pretty well. She goes to bed around 8, still wakes up to eat around 2 and goes right back to sleep till about 6. She lets us know when she wants to sleep now and most of the time all I have to do is put her in her crib. She smiles at me and shuts her eyes.
*Her eyes are still blue.
*Some hair is starting to fall out. Hopefully she had enough of it to not make a difference. It has lightened up a lot.
*She has discovered her hands. She loves to look at them and put them in her mouth.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to all you dads and dads-to-be. We had a wonderful 1st Father's Day. Jake slept in. Later we went down to the Bayfront and Rogue for lunch then went to his parents. Callie Beth and I are so lucky....he is such a wonderful dad! This was taken for Grandpa for Father's Day :)

Hi!

Just wanted to say hello! We are doing great.

This week was busy. It was the last week of school. I had to go in for some meetings, to say goodbye to my students at our end of the year party, and to clean up my classroom. I can't believe the year is over. It really flies by when you aren't working!

Aunt Mandy is coming on Tuesday for a little over a week. Callie Beth can't wait to meet her :) Here are some recent pictures.

Right before the Clam Chowder cook off. Grandpa Postlewait loves playing with Callie Beth. Yesterday, he introduced her to the toy cabinet in his office at the bank. The girls tried to get a picture of that but he was too quick. They did manage to snap this. Such a happy girl!

tummy time

We are really working on tummy time now. Callie Beth is finally at the point where she will stay on her tummy for a little while. Before she would cry after a minute. Here are some pictures of her on her tummy and one of her just being her happy self.

We had an amazing sunset tonight...I wish we would have gone down to the beach to see this and take pics. Here are a few pics. This was a 9 o'clock (right before CB went to sleep.)

2 month appointment

Today we took Callie Beth for her 2 month appointment. She is doing great! Perfectly healthy! She slept through the heal prick and took her other 3 shots like a champ. The nurse was very quick and she stopped crying as soon as I picked her up. She is doing pretty well now...sneaking out some smiles, a little fussy and very clingy! Her next appointment will be when she is 4 months old. Here is her info:

Weight 10 pounds 2 ounces..........25th percentile
Height 23 inches..........75th percentile
Head 15 inches..........25th percentile
