Pumpkin Carving

Callie Beth is loving to help as much as she can around the house.  She really enjoyed helping us carve our pumpkin.  She was not so sure at first but them jumped right in.

Waiting for Dad to cut it open…IMG_4276 So patient (when she wants to be)IMG_4279Digging in…IMG_4280Hmmm….not so sureIMG_4281 Helping Mom scrape the sidesIMG_4282 Sorting the seeds outIMG_4294 I can do it by myself…Miss IndependentIMG_4296IMG_4299 Speaking of helping…here is CB unloading the dishwasher.  We are trying to teach her early :)  She takes each piece of silverware out one by one.  By the time I am finished doing the rest, she is finishing up.IMG_4303IMG_4305 This is her end result :)  Love her!IMG_4306

Pumpkin Patch

Today we took Callie Beth to the Airlie Pumpkin Patch.  I have really been looking forward to this and the day was beautiful!  She had a great time soaking everything in and running around.IMG_4197 Can’t smile when too much is going on :)IMG_4200 Getting ready to take offIMG_4202 She loved the little calf…she started mooing at itIMG_4206 Wasn’t so sure about the sheepIMG_4211 She insisted on going up this and wanted to go down the slide.  It was definitely too big for her.  IMG_4220 Maybe having doubts once we got up there…?IMG_4219 After shot…Don’t think she liked it :)  Death grip on MomIMG_4222 Time for the corn maze.  She LOVED running around this.  At one point another family started following us.  Not a good idea when a one and a half year old is leading you through.IMG_4227IMG_4230IMG_4233IMG_4238 Now time to pick out the perfect pumpkinIMG_4244 Callie Beth picked out this one….good pickIMG_4246 Having lunch in the back of the truck with DadIMG_4250 Cheesin for the camera with MomIMG_4251 Loves to be tickled!IMG_4260

Miss Spider

Here is a cute little spider outfit I made for Miss Callie Beth.  I thought it turned out pretty good.  She really loved the eyes an bows :)IMG_4194IMG_4191 Callie Beth’s hair in finally long enough for full pig-tails.  I love it but boy does it make her look grown up.  Such a little girl nowIMG_4188

Oh Baby!

Lately, Callie Beth has had a little obsession with baby dolls.  She burps them, she sings to them, she rocks them.  Last week I showed her how to swaddle them.  She thought it was the greatest thing ever and hasn’t put those baby dolls down all week.

Here she is carrying her baby aroundIMG_4180 Giving her baby a kissIMG_4177 Giving hugsIMG_4178 Wrapping her baby upIMG_4182 And even cleaning with her babyIMG_4185 And here Callie Beth was playing in Jake’s things and came up to me with his hat on. How cute!IMG_4195 Who knows….She had to take baby, her blankie, and Tigger to Grandma’s house yesterday.  Last night she got quiet and she walked in with all this: baby, blankie, another blankie to wrap baby up with, the kitchen towel, and Jake’s hat!IMAG0013 Hopefully she will be a big help when her baby brother or sister comes :)

Monkey See Monkey Do

We really need to watch ourselves these days :)

Callie Beth is an observer and she learns by watching and doing.  She is quite good at figuring things out on her own…which we love about her.  She wants to be doing everything we do.

I captured these pictures while Jake was working on taxidermy.  She is obsessed with animals.  She calls them elk and deer.   She loves to play in the nasty garage!  I mean look at all the stuff she can get in to.  Boy, I can’t wait till we get a shop for him.  Jake makes sure she is safe.  He loves that someone will keep him company out there.

I guess she had been watching him brush the deer so she picked up the brush and headed over to do it herself.  IMG_4164IMG_4165 Jake was painting here.  She insisted on her own brush.  You can’t see it in the picture but there is a HUGE pile of animals that Jake touched up and updated for a family friend.  Callie Beth took her paint brush and went back to the pile.  She then dragged an animal up for her to work on (Jake of course helped when he realized what she was doing).  IMG_4167IMG_4169

Aquarium

The bank had a nice dinner party at the aquarium not long ago.  We had the entire aquarium to ourselves.  I was going to be a little late because I had my 12 week appointment, an ultrasound, and lab work.  I ended up being much later….It took the lady 25 minutes to get 7 tubes of blood….I was SO frustrated I was going to miss a lot of the fun at the aquarium.  Oh well.

The pictures didn’t turn out too great and Callie Beth was running around that place like she owned it.

I’m the Big Sister!

IMG_4022IMG_4024 Callie Beth is going to be a big sister!  I am 12 weeks.  That makes baby number 2 due April 18th.  (CB was due March 18th).  baby 2 12 weeks These are the ultrasounds from 12 weeks.

This is an extreme close up of the head with a little hand by its mouth.baby 2 12 weeks2 I had my 12 week appointment yesterday.  Everything looked great.  It was hard to find the heartbeat.  I guess I have a pretty strong artery in my tummy so they kept hearing my heart beat.  We finally got it after about 10 minutes.  The heart rate was at 160 and during my ultrasound was 156.

I will have to add the ultrasounds from 7 weeks but they are on my school computer.

I’ve been feeling okay.  A little nauseas and EXTREMELY exhausted.  I have also been getting head aches (minor).

Jake and I are so excited to add to our little family!
