Ben: 18 months old

Ben was 18 months on October 11th.  Yes he is still little but he seems to be growing too fast.

weight….26 pounds 4 ounces…..50th percentile

height…..32.5 inches…..50th percentile

Here is what is going on with Ben these days:

• He is the most lovable little boy.  He is great at giving these looks and smiles that melt your heart.  Big time charmer.  He loves giving kisses and hugs.
• He loves to wrestle (which had to be stopped at he was trying to show off his WWF moves on the babies at the daycare) :)
• He says more and more words each day.  He is really good at saying Thank you.  He comprehends much more than he can communicate.  He still signs for things he wants but also says the word now.  His first two syllable word was bubble.  His first two word combo was Thank you.  His first sentence was: I want that.
• When he wants something in another room, he will wave his hand at you to come with him and if you don’t, he will walk over to you and grab you hand and take you there.
• He is a great eater.  He insists on feeding himself.
• We aren’t sure which hand will be his dominant.  He mostly eats with his left but can throw the ball very well with both hands. 
• He loves to play catch.
• During his check-up, the doctor was going over developmental questions with him.  The doctor had a group of pictures.  He pointed to one and said “what is this”  Ben pointed to it and said “animal”.  It surprised us both!
• He tells you when he has to go/or has gone number 2.   He has gone pee in the potty once.
• He can jump with both feet leaving the ground.  He can gallop and walk up and down small small steps on his own without holding on. 
• He is still a great sleeper.  He uses his binky just when he is sleeping or in the car. 
• He has had 16 teeth since he was 15 months old.
• You can say Ben is strong willed :)  He is pretty easy going but when he wants something, he really wants it!  We are working on managing that.
• He can count to 3
• He loves his sister more than anything in the world.
• He is in-between sizes of 18 months to 24 months.  He has chubby feet :)  He wears 6.5
• He takes 2 naps a day (every once in awhile he will take 3).
