Regan made her way in to the world on May 2, 2014 at 12:41 p.m. She weighed 7 pounds 7 ounces and measured 20 inches long.
I was much more relaxed this c-section because I knew what to expect. What was so exciting was we did not know the sex of the baby. The operating room was a great environment. Everyone was happy and making jokes. As Dr. Morcos made the incision and was able to reach in and get baby, Regan shot up in to my ribs. They then had some difficulty getting her out and had to use forceps. She came out and took her first breath. Jake got to tell me “It’s a girl”. What an amazing feeling.
This time, they kept her in the OR the entire time which was so nice so be able to be near her and see what was happening. She didn’t leave me until that evening to get some shots and be measured again.
